MCKC 2023 Set to Go at Hamilton

The 2023 Motomaster Canadian Karting Championships (MCKC) will ahead later this month at the newly repaved and reconfigured Hamilton Karting Complex just outside of Hamilton, ON. Last year this event saw in 283 entries from across Canada competing. The MCKC organizers are expecting another fantastic grid for 2023.

Fourteen classes will compete for National title status at this event that is sanctioned by GDS ASN Canada FIA, the national motorsport authority affiliate of the FIA.

The classes offered at MCKC 20233 are as follows:

  • Rok Mini

  • Rok Junior

  • Rok Senior

  • Briggs & Stratton Cadet

  • Briggs & Stratton Junior

  • Briggs & Stratton Senior

  • Briggs & Stratton Senior Heavy

  • Briggs & Stratton Masters

  • Rotax Micro-Mini MAX

  • Rotax Junior MAX

  • Rotax Senior MAX

  • Rotax DD2 MAX

  • Rotax DD2 Masters MAX

  • Open Shifter

Drivers can register for the four-day event by visiting the event registration page here. The supplementary regulations and event schedule can be viewed by visiting the MCKC 2023 Event Portal. Event registration will end on Sunday, August 13th, at midnight.

In response to cross-Canada demand and as discussed by the 2023 Canadian Karting Task Force, a 140 cm or 55” overall rear width Briggs & Stratton Senior Heavy class will be offered at the 2023 MCKC. Briggs & Stratton Senior Heavy will run in the mornings each day while Briggs & Stratton Senior will run in the afternoon. In the Supplementary Regulations the two Briggs and Stratton Senior classes are described as follows:

  • Briggs & Stratton Senior - Canadian Karting Regulations, Book 2, 8.4. Spec D. Maximum Overall Width 127 cm (50”). Weight 340lbs. 

  • Briggs & Stratton Senior Heavy - Canadian Karting Regulations, Book 2, 8.4. Spec C. Maximum Overall Width 140 cm (55”). Weight 360 lbs. Max Rear Wheel Width 215 mm.
